A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE APPRECIATION OF THE FAYETTEVILLE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO THE ARKANSAS CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION AND
THE ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT OF POLLUTION CONTROL AND ECOLOGY FOR
THEIR ASSISTANCE IN SECURING FEDERAL FUNDING FOR IMPROVEMENTS
TO THE CITY'S WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, The City of Fayetteville is under an Administrative
Order from the United States Environmental Protection Agency requiring
the City to construct improvements to its wastewater treatment system;
and
WHEREAS, to partially fund required wastewater treatment system
improvements the City of Fayetteville applied for a grant under the
Clean Water Act; and
WHEREAS, Arkansas Senators Dale Bumpers and David Pryor, Arkansas
Congressman John Paul Hammerschmidt, and the Arkansas Department of
Pollution Control and Ecology provided invaluable assistance in the
processing of the City's grant application; and
Act.
WHEREAS, the City has been awarded grant under the Clean Water
NOW, HIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the Board of Directors hereby expresses its sincere appreciation
to Arkansas Senators Dale Bumpers and David Pryor, Arkansas Congressman
John Paul Hammerschmidt, and the Arkansas Department of Pollution
Control and Ecology for their invaluable assistance in processing
the City's application for a grant under the Clean Water Act to partially
fund erre d improvements to the City's wastewater treatment system.
