A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE ARKANSAS PUBLIC SERVICE
COMMISSION TO HOLD PUJBLIC HEARINGS IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS
ON ANY REQUEST FOR A RATE INCREASE BY A PUBLIC UTILITY
SERVING NORTHWEST ARKANSAS RESIDENTS.
WHEREAS, the Atkansas Public Service Commission has
traditionally held public hearings in Little Rock on rate
increase requests by public utilities; and
WHEREAS, many residents of Northwest Arkansas are served
by public utilities regulated by the Arkansas Public Service
Commission; and
WHEREAS, said residents and public utility customers
many times find it difficult to travel to Little Rock to
attend public hearings on rate increase requests by public
utilities; and
WHEREAS, Public Service Commission rate increase hearings
in Little Rock have received media coverage almost exclusively
by Central Arkansas news outlets, many of which are not
received -by Northwest. Arkansas residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the Board.of Directors hereby urges the Arkansas
Public Service Commission to hold public hearings in Northwest
Arkansas on any rate increase requests by a public utility
serving residents of Northwest Arkansas.

distance of 40.07 feet to a point on the Northerly existing
right of way line of Appleby Road for the point of beginning;

way line :;a distance of 645.72 feet to a point; thence in a
Northwesterly direction along said existing right of way line
on a curve right having a radius of 30.0 feet a distance of
47.78 feet to a point on the Northerly proposed right of way

South 89° 05' 00" West along said proposed right of way line
a distance of 100.0 feet to a point; thence North 00° 55' 00"
West a distance of 50.0 feet to the point of beginning and
containing 0.10 acre more or less.
