HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-83 RESOLUTIONRESOLUTION NO. t • A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH THE CITY'S INTENT THAT THE CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING DESIGN OF FAYETTEVILLE'S SELECTED WASTEWATER MANAGMENT PLAN SHALL CONTAIN GUARANTEES THAT THE DESIGNED FACILITIES WILL CONSISTENTLY MEET THE REQUIRED 5-5-2-1 EFFLUENT LIMITS WHEREAS, The Fayetteville Board of Directors unanimously voted on May 19, 1983, to adopt the White River Split Flow alternative as the City's selected wastewater manangement plan; and WHEREAS, it iscimp re ativve=that the facilities designed and constructed in the implementation orthewastewater management plan consistently meet specified effluent limits in order to comply with the City's EPA NPDESsr_•t Discharge Permit; and WHEREAS, City officials have given assurances to the citizens of Fayetteville and Northwest Arkansas that the designed facilities;-viill_- __ function in such a manner as to consistently meet the effluent limits set forth in the City's EPA NPDES Discharge Permit; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: That it is the intent of the City Board of Directors that the contract which is being prepared for engi- neering design of the facilities to be constructed in the implementation of the wastewater management plan -a-nd-shall contain guarantees that the facilities which are designed and constructed will operate inssuch a manner as to consistently meet the 5-5-2-1 effluent limits set forth in the City's Discharge Permit.
