A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY'S CONTRACT WITH•
HAILEY, POWERS,FRONING,ARCHITECTS; LTD. FOR THE
RENOVATION OF CITY HALL TO PROVIDE FOR DESIGN AND
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT IN CONNECTION WITH THE
RELOCATION OF UTILITY LINES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute an amendment to the City's contract with
Hailey,Powers, Froning Architects, Ltd. for the renovation
of City Hall to provide for design and construction manage-
ment in connection with the relocation of utility lines. A
copy of the amendment authorized for execution hereby is
attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A"
,• and made a part hereof.

ADDENDUM DATE: February 9, 1983
Addendum to Owner -Architect Agreement date September 2, 1981, between
the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Hailey•Powers•Froning Architects
Ltd
The Agreement is amended to include work necessary for the installation
of electric, telephone, and cable services underground around the prese
City Administration Building. Work architects will provide includes th
competitive bidding to select an electrical contractor to install
secondary underground wiring from a new SWEPCO Sub -Station to the
City Police, Warner Cable, Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, City

Administration Building, KHOG, Woolworth Building, and Systematics
Building, review of the bids, construction observation and coordination
as necessary to complete the work. Compensation shall be determined
on an hourly rate of $ 38.00 per hour with a guarantee not to exceed
$ 2,500.00 without prior written authorization from the City. Invoices
to the City shall be tendered monthly.
This addendum changes no other conditions of the existing contract.
This addendum entered into as of the -date above.

Addendum to an Owner -Architect Agreement dated September 2, 1981, between
the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Hailey-Powers-Froning Architects, Ltd.:
The Agreement is amended to include work necessary for the installation of
electric, telephone, and TV cable services underground around the present
City Administration Building. Work architects will provide includes the prepara-
tion of plans and specifications in sufficient detail for competitive bidding to
select an electrical • contractor to install underground secondary electric wiring,
telephone conduits and TV cable runs from appropriate points of origin to the
Police Station, Warner Cable, Chamber of Commerce, City Administration Build-
ing, KHOG, Woolworth Building, and Systematics according to the requirements
of the affected utilities; review and evaluation of the bids; construction obser-
vation; and coordination as necessary between the utilities, city, contractors,
and businesses involved as necessary to complete the work.
Compensation shall be determined on an hourly rate of $38.00 per hour with
a guarantee not to exceed $2,500 without prior written authorization from the
city expanding the scope of the work. Invoices to the City shall be tendered
monthly. -
This addendum changes no other conditions of the existing contract.
This addendum, entered into on March 8, 1983, supercedes a previous agreement
dated February 9, 1983.
