A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING $14,320.00 FROM THE 1983
PUBLIC WORKS FUND BUDGET FOR THE CITY'S SHARE IN THE
COST OF INSTALLING RAILROAD CROSSING SIGNALS AT
POPLAR AND SYCAMORE STREETS NEAR GREGG AVENUE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the Board of Directors hereby appropriates the stun
of $14,320.00 from the 1983 Public Works Fund Budget for the
City's share in the cost of installing railroad crossing
signals at Poplar and Sycamore Streets near Gregg Avenue.

This letter is to confirm your commitment to participate in the cost of the
above two referenced railroad crossing signal jobs.
We now need your matching funds for these two railroad signal installations.
This cost is $14,320 ($6,000 for Poplar Street and $8,320 for Sycamore Street)
and represents 10 percent of each total signal installation cost.
Also, we have enclosed three copies of the Project Notice for Railway -Highway
Master Agreement for each signal location. Please sign on the line at the
lower left hand corner (Local Government Agency Member) and return to this
office for further handling. At the time of signal installation it will be
necessary for the city to install pavement markings and advance warning signs
at these crossings in accordance with the enclosed standard drawings.
We will proceed with the next step - issuance of a work order and transmittal
of the plans to the Burlington Northern Railroad - when we have received your
check and signed copies of the Project Notices.
