RESOLUTION NO. 152'x- 83
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS
TO PROVIDE THE UNIVERSITY MUSEUM ON THE FAYETTEVILLE
CAMPUS A LARGER DISPLAY FACILITY IN A MORE ACCESSIBLE
LOCATION.
WHEREAS, the. University of Arkansas Museum on the
Fayetteville campus has many worthy and sizeable collections
which cannot be displayed because of the museum's limited
space allotment; and
WHEREAS, the benefits of,said museum to University
students, citizens of Fayetteville, and residents of and
visitors to Northwest Arkansas could be greatly increased
if the museum had larger display space at a more accessible
location; and
WHEREAS, the ability of the museum personnel to produce
quality exhibits, workshops and educational field trips for
the public could be expanded if larger, more accessible
space were made available to them.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the Board of Directors hereby respectfully requests
the Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas to make
every effort possible to provide the aforesaid museum with
larger display space at a more accessible location.
