A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CREATION OF A REGIONAL'''
WASTEWATER COLLECTION AND TREATMENT DISTRICT PURSUANT
TO ACT 608 OF THE 1983 ARKANSAS GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville
Arkansas finds that a regional wastewater collection and treat-
ment district would provide greater economic efficiency than
numerous smaller districts, would eliminate procedural dupli-
cation in numerous smaller districts,and would provide greater
capacity to handle an increase in wastewater caused by an
expanding population.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLF., ARKANSAS:

Section 1. That the Board,of•Directors hereby supports
and encourages the creation of a regional wastewater collection.
and treatment district. pursuant' to Act 608 of the 1983 Arkansas
General Assembly.
Section 2. The Board of Directors hereby elects not to
participate in a regional wastewater collection and'treatment•
district at this time.
