A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH MARYNM BASSETT FOR INTERIOR
DECORATING. CONSULTANT SERVICES IN. CONNECTION WITH THE
RENOVATION OF THE CITY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
THAT the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute a contract with Marynm Bassett for
interior decorating consultant services in connection with
the renovation of the City Administration Building. A copy
of the contract authorized for execution hereby is attached
hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof.

WHEREAS, the'City'desires to retain¢the,services.of a
consultant to advise and make recommendations to the City

regarding the interior decorating of:,,the'renovated City
Administration Building; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant is an experienced interior
decorator;
WHEREAS, at the request of the City the Consultant has
submitted a proposal for interior decorating consultant
services;
and
WHEREAS, the Consultant's proposal has been accepted by
the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants
contained herein, the City and the Consultant agree as
follows:
1. The Consultant shall render interior decorating
consultant services to the City for the renovated City
Administration Building on Mountain Street. Said services
shall consist of, but shall not be limited to, the following:
(a) Consultant shall survey and prepare a written list
of all the City's existing office furniture which the
Consultant recommends should be utilized in the renovated
City Administration Building;
(b) Consultant shall personally survey each department
head having employees located in the renovated City
Administration Building to determine the furniture and
equipment needs of said employees and department head;

said survey shall be conducted, at least in part, in
the area of the renovated City Administration Building
where the department head and employees will be located;
(c) Consultant shall investigate the availability of
office furniture and equipment,furnishings, drapes,
and window coverings; and
(d) Within budgetary parameters set by the Fayetteville
Board of Directors, the Consultant shall recommend the
acquisition of specific office furniture and equipment,

2. Consultant shall commence

upon execution of this Contract.
3. For the aforesaid services, the City shall pay the
Consultant a fee of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) per
month; provided, the total fee payable to the Consultant
hereunder shall not. exceed Nine Thousand Dollars ($9,000.00).
4. Either party may terminate this Contract by giving
the other party
