A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PROVISION OF CITY WATER
SERVICE AND THE SERVIC-E AREA OF THE RURAL DEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY.
•
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: That the Board of Directors hereby authorizes
the provision of city water Service to the area described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and_.made a part hereof.
•
Section 2: The provision of city:water service to the
aforesaid area shall be subject to the following conditions:
(a) Said area .shall be returnedto the Rural Development
cAlithority for water service once the authority's water
lines become available to service that area; and

The provision3of city water service to the aforesaid

SUBJECT: Water Service Area Adjustment
DATE: August 31, 1983
The Water and Sewer Department has had a request
from an individual outside of our Water service area
(Growth Area) for water service. The area involved,
along with a legal .description is shown on the attached
plat.
The Rural Development Authority has the water service
rights for the area but their lines are so far from the
site that economic:service to the area is impossible.
I am requesting that the City accept the area shown for
•water service subject to:
1. The area being returned to the RDA once their lines
become available to the site.
2 That all lines extended to the area be paid for by
the customers involved.
3 Approval of the transfer by the Rural Development
Authority.-
