RESOLUTION NO. VD --20.2,
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT IN THE CITY'S SEWER REHABILITATION
CONTRACT WITH MCGOODWIN, WILLIAMS & YATES, INC. DATED
AUGUST 20, 1981 TO INCREASE THE COST CEILING TO
$70,000.00.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute an amendment to the City's sewer rehabili-
tation engineering contract with McGoodwin, Williams & Yate,
Inc. dated August 20, 1981,to increase the cost ceiling in
said contract to $70,000.00. A copy of the amendment authorized
for execution hereby is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A",
and made a part hereto.

AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
DATED AUGUST 20, 1981
WHEREAS, the above referred to Agreement for Engineering Services provides
for the preparation of construction plans and specifications for the rehabilitation
of the Fayetteville sewer system; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement provides for compensation tobebased on cost plus
a fixed fee; and
WHEREAS, a cost ceiling of $57,000 was established, said ceiling not to be
exceeded without formal amendment to the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the ceiling previously established has been found to be inadequate;
NOW THEREFORE, the cost ceiling of $57,000 as set out in the Agreement
dated August 20, 1981, is hereby increased to an amount of $70,000.
