A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE AND SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR AN AMEND-
MENT TO THE CITY'S 1981 FEDERAL AVIATION GRANT
AGREEMENT TO REQUEST ADDITIONAL GRANT FUNDS FOR THE
PURPOSE OF ACOUIRING APPROXIMATELY TWENTY ACRES
OF LAND IMMEDIATELY NORTH OF DRAKE FIELD AND CON-
STRUCTING AN AUTOMOBILE ACCESS ROAD FROM U. S.
HIGHWAY 71 TO THE PROPOSED AIRPORT IMPROVEMENTS
EAST OF THE RUNWAY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute and submit an application for an amendment
to the City's 1981 Federal Aviation Grant Agreement to request
additional grant funds for the purpose of acquiring approx-
imately twenty acres of land immediately north of Drake Field
and constructing an automobile access road from U. S. Highway 71
to the proposed improvements east of the airport runway. A
copy of the application authorized for execution hereby is
attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and made a part hereof.
