A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE TO MATCH FEDERAL -AID
BRIDGE REPLACEMENT AND REHABILITATION
MONIES FOR THE
REPLACEMENT OF THE BRIDGES AS
LISTED BELOW IN --PRIORITY ORDER
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville understands Federal -Aid Bridge Replace-
ment and Rehabilitation funds are available for replacement or rehabilitation

of eligible structures; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that the top priority bridges are:
1. North Street Bridge at Skull Creek between Leverett and Gregg
Avenues.
2. Appleby Road Bridge at Skull Creek just east of Gregg Avenue.
3. Old Missouri Road at Mud Creek between Sweetbriar Drive and
Joyce Street.
4. Old Wire Road Bridge across Mud Creek just west of Highway 265.
WHEREAS, the City understands that their matching portion of these projects
will be 20% of the total cost;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION I: The City of Fayetteville will participate in accordance with
its designated responsibility in this project.
SECTION II: The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute all
appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction
of these bridge improvements on city streets.
SECTION III: The City of Fayetteville pledges its full support and hereby
authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate
action to construct these projects.
THIS RESOLUTION adopted this 2nd day of February, 1982.
