RESOLUTION NO. /317-8t,2,
A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE FAYETrEVIILE
INDUSTRIAL PRETREATMENT PROGRAM AMID
EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION,
FUNDING, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas provides, operates,
and maintains a sewage collection and treatment system for the
purpose of protecting the public health and welfare; and
WHEREAS, the safe, proper, and correct operation of said
system is dependent on the quality and quantity of wastewaters
discharged into the sewage system by customers served by the system;
and
WHEREAS, an Industrial Pretreatment Program, including revisions
to City Ordinances No. 2677 and 2872 have been developed to provide
the procedural and legal mechanisms to regulate the quality and/or
quantity of wastewaters discharged into said system; and
WHEREAS, such regulation of discharged wastewaters is necessary
to the safe, proper, and correct operation of said system;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Fayetteville Board of
Directors, that the Fayetteville Industrial Pretreatment Program
has our full endorsement, and that the Board will lend its full
support to the implementation and funding of the program.
