A RESOLUTION APPROVING A $2,928.20 CHANGE ORDER
IN THE CITY'S WATER LINE RELOCATION CONTRACT WITH
KRAUS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY TO PROVIDE FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF BLOW -OFFS ON DEADEND LINES AND TO
PROVIDE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF ADDITIONAL BORE
AND CASING.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the Mayor and City Clerk are' hereby authorized and
directed*to execute the change order attached'hereto, marked
Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof.

The contract, dated June 24, 1982, between the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, and Kraus Construction Company, of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, is hereby
changed to provide for the installation of blow -offs on the dead-end lines so
that the project will comply with Arkansas Health Department requirements.
Also, the installation of an additional 10 feet of bore and casing at highway
station 115+75 to extend the casing to the edge of a box culvert that is to

Attached is a copy of Change Order #1 in connection with the
water line relocations through Farmington. Item 31, the blow -off
and flushing stations were required by the Arkansas Health Department
and adds $ 2,400.00 to the contract. Item 32, 16 -inch encasement,
was required by the Arkansas Highway Department and adds $ 528.20 to
the contract.
I recommend approval of the Change Order.
