RESOLUTION NO. 1.09-81
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS IN THE
FAYETTEVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT TO OBTAIN A "CLASS 4"
RATING FOR THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE.
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville currently has a "Class
5" fire insurance rating, as issued by the Insurance Services
Offices of Arkansas; and 1
WHEREAS, the Fayetteville Board of Directors desires
to improve the City's fire fighting capacity to obtain a
"Class 4" rating and thereby reduce Fayetteville property
owners' fire insurance premiums; and,
WHEREAS, to secure a "Class 4" fire insurance rating,
certain improvements must be made to the Fayetteville Fire
Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized
and directed to implement the provisions contained in a
letter dated October 22, 1981, from the Insurance Services
Office of Arkansas, a copy of which letter is attached hereto
marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof.
Section 2. A budget adjustment in the amount of $25,000
is hereby approved for the appropriate accounts in order
to implement the aforesaid improvements to the Fayetteville
Fire Department.
