A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE POLICY OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE AND IMPLEMENTING THE REQUIREMENT THAT
SUBDIVIDERS MAKE PROVISION FOR PUBLIC PARKS BY
DEDICATION OF LAND OR A CONTRIBUTION OF CASH IN LIEU
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors on January 21, 1981 adopted
an ordinance requiring subdividers to make provision for
public parks by dedication of land or contribution of cash
in lieu thereof; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this ordinance is to express the
policy of the Board of Directors in implementing said ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That said ordinance and the requirements
prescribed thereby shall not apply to any subdivision.- the
preliminary plat for --which was approved by the Planning
Commission prior to January 21, 1981.
Section 2. That any cash contribution received by the
City under said ordinance shall be used to provide recreational
facilities in the same park district, as reflected on page 20
of the Fayetteville Public Parks and Recreational Land Needs
Plan, where the subdivision generating the contribution is
located.
