HomeMy WebLinkAbout19-79 RESOLUTIONRESOLUTION NO.0-7 A RESOLUTION URGING THE ARKANSAS CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION TO SUPPORT LEGISLATION TO REPEAL THE DAVIS-BACON ACT. WHEREAS, the Davis -Bacon Act was enacted during the depression era; and WHEREAS, the Comptroller General of the General Accounting Office has released a draft report calling for repeal of Davis -Bacon as an archaic inflationary threat and an unneeded law that provides no construction benefits; and WHEREAS, as the Davis -Bacon Act is presently administered many of the prevailing wage rate determinations issued by the Department of Labor are not realistic.
