A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF FAYEITLVITJI
TO MATCH FEDERAL AID AND URBAN SYSTEM MONIES FOR THE FOUR-LANING OF
GREGG AVENUE FROM ELM TO ASH AND FROM SPRUCE TO NORTH; FOUR-LANING
OF NORTH STREET FROM SKULL CREEK BRIDGE TO GREGG AVENUE; AND CON-
SIRUCTION OF RAZORBACK ROAD EXTENSION FROM HIGHWAY 62 TO FIFILENTH
STREET.
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville understands additional Federal -
Aid and Urban System Funds are available for improvements to the city
streets; and
are:
WHEREAS, the City has determined that the top priority projects
1. Four-laning of Gregg Avenue from Elm to Ash and from Spruce
to North.
2. Four-laning of North Street from Skull Creek bridge to
Gregg Avenue.
3. Construction of Razorback Road extension from Highway 62
to Fifteenth Street.
WHEREAS, the City understands that their matching portion of
these projects will be 30% of the total cost,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF FAYE1'1LVIJJY, ARKANSAS, THAT:
Section 1. The City of Fayetteville will participate in accordance
with its designated responsibility in this project.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite
the construction of the improvements on city streets.
Section 3. The City of Fayetteville pledges its full support and
hereby authorized the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department
to initiate action to construct these projects.
