HomeMy WebLinkAbout52-78 RESOLUTIONRESOLUTION NO. c -,a, -Ari A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE TO PHILIP BESONEN OF APPROXIMATELY 4,157 SQUARE FEET OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF ELM STREET AND JUNEWAY TERRACE WHEREAS, Juneway Terrace has recently been extended to intersect with Elm Street; and WHEREAS, the construction of said extension has resulted in the creation of a triangular shaped parcel containing approximately 4,157 square feet; and WHEREAS, Philip Besonen owns the property adjacent to said triangular parcel and has for many years maintained said parcel as well as the remainder of the lot upon which the extension of Juneway Terrace was constructed; and WHEREAS, said maintenance by Philip Besonen saved the City the cost of maintaining said property; and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has determined that the aforesaid triangular parcel is not needed by the City for public purposes and should be conveyed to Philip Besonen in consideration for his past and future maintenance of said property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute a quitclaim deed conveying the following described property to Philip Besonen: A part of Lot 24, Block M, Northridge Addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas as per plat of said addition on file in the Office of the Circuit Clerk and Ex -Officio Recorder of Washington County, Arkansas, and being more particularly described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at a point, being the Northeast Corner of said Lot 24, and running thence West 57.0 feet, thence in a Southerly direction 156.59 feet to the Southeast Corner of said Lot 24, thence North 145.85 feet along the said lot line to the point of beginning containing .095 acres, more or less.
