RESOLUTION NO. 9-r1.69
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO dXECUTE AN
AMENDMENT TO THE CITY'S CONTRACT WITH THE U. S. DEPARTMENT
OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR SECTION 8 HOUSING
ASSISTANCE TO CHANGE THE FISCAL YEAR UNDER SAID CONTRACT.
WHEREAS, under Section 8 of the Housing Act of 1937,
as amended, the United States of America (herein called
the Government) has entered into an Annual Contributions
Contract with the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, herein
called the "Public Housing Agency" under which the Government
has agreed to make certain payments for the benefit of low in-
come families; and
WHEREAS, it is now found necessary to amend said "Annual
Contributions Contract" and due consideration has been given
by both parties hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The amendment marked Exhibit "A", attached
hereto and made a part hereof, to the City's Annual Contributions
Contract Number 8 ACC FW 7119 is hereby approved and accepted
both in form and substance.
Section 2. The City Manager of the.Public. Housing Agency
is hereby authorized and directed to execute tour counterparts
of said amendment on behalf of the Public Housing Agency and the
City Manager and the City -Clerk .are hereby authorizethand directed to _
impress and attest the official seal of the Public Housing
Agency on each such counterpart and to forward all such counter-
parts to the Government, together with such other documents re-
lative to the approval and execution thereof as may be required
by the Government.
Section 3. The City Manager of the Publi.c,Ho&sing Agency still
retains the authority to file requests, together with necessary
supporting documents, with the Government, from time to time,
requesting payment to be made and to do and perform all other
things acts required to be done or performed in order to obtain
such payments.
Section 4. The Public Housing Agency reaffirms its com-
mitment to abide by all the provisions, terms and conditions
of said ACC, as amended.
