A RESULUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONDEMNAT� ,NR Il�"LLSI *IN,
PROPERTY ON MEADOW STREET OWNED BY SOUTHWI&EA�},Itf ERWRITERS
INSURANCE COMPANY FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING AN OFF-STREET
WHEREAS, by virtue of Ark.•Stat. 13-1702 municipal,cor-
porations are authorized to acquire by eminent domain fee
simple title to real property for the purpose of constructing
maintaining, and operating off-street parking facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas proposes to
construct an off-street parking facility on Meadow Street
between College Avenue and East Avenue; and
WHEREAS, Southwestern Underwriters Insurance Company owns
the property hereafter described, which property occupies the
site where the aforesaid off-street parking facility is proposed
to be constructed; and
PARKING FACILITY.
WHEREAS, the City has not been able to acquire said pro-
perty by negotiation with the owner thereof
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the following described property be, and the same is
hereby, authorized for condemnation for the purpose of con-
structing thereon an off-street parking facility:
A part of Block Numbered Fifteen (15) in the Original
Plat of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, described
as follows: Beginning at a point one hundred twenty
seven (127) feet West of the Northeast corner of said
Block 15; and running, thence West one hundred seventy
seven (177) feet; thence South two hundred six (206) feet;
thence East one hundred seventy seven (177) feet; thence
North two hundred six (206) feet to the place of beginning.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 6v day of February, 1978.
