DEVELOPMENT FUNDS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:

shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof be,

The City of Fayetteville will REQUEST RELEASE OF FUNDS under the 1977
Community Development Block Grant Program from HUD for the projects that
appear in paragraph 3 below.
1. This request for Release of Funds and the accompanying certification
will be submitted to the HUD Area Office on 1 November 1977.
2. This request for Release of Funds is for the CDBG Program under
Grant No. B -77 -MC -05-0001.

The City of Fayetteville will undertake the projects described above with
Block Grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Develop-
ment (HUD) under Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act
of 1974. The City of Fayetteville is certifying the HUD that the City
of Fayetteville and Ernest E. Lancaster, Mayor, as Chief Executive
Officer, in the official capacity as Mayor, consent to accept the
jurisdiction of the Federal courts if an action is brought to enforce
responsibilities in relation to environmental reviews, decision-making
and action; and that these responsibilities have been satisfied. The
legal effect of the certification is that upon approval, the City of
Fayetteville may use the Block Grant funds, and HUD will have satisfied
its responsibilities under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969.
