RESOLUTION NO. 8,2-71
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING BOARD POLICY REGARDING EXTENSION OF
SEWER SERVICES TO AN AREA EAST OF CROSSOVER ROAD (HIGHWAY 265) PROPOSED
FOR ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE.
WHEREAS the Fayetteville City Board of Directors has adopted Ordinance
2383 to annex certain property in the Crossover Road (Highway 265) area
subject to voter approval; and
WHEREAS the territory would be eligible for sewer service if annexed to
the City; and
WHEREAS the City Board is aware that sewer service would not be immediately
available to the territory if annexed;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE FAYETTEVILLE CITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
It is the policy of this body that the City will attempt to provide to the area
sewer service which is consistent with City policy,if the area is annexed,
and as soon as sewer service for the area is economically feasible.
