A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN ANNEXATION POLICY FOR THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the Annexation Policy set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part hereof be, and the same is
hereby, approved and adopted.

ANNEXATION POLICY FOR SUBDIVISIONS
A. Definitions:
Subdivision. For the purpose of this policy, the
term "subdivision" shall mean any land which is divided
or proposed to be divided by a common owner or owners
for predominately residential purposes into three or
more lots or parcels, whether platted or unplatted, any
of which contains less than 5 acres.
B. Annexation policy for subdivisions in which the smallest
lot is less than 1 and 1/2 acres:
All improvements, except sidewalks, within the
subdivision shall meet city standards for said improve-
ments, and shall be in good working order as determined
after a complete inspection and report by city staff
members.
C. Annexation policy for subdivisions in which the smallest
lot is a minimum of 1 and 1/2 acres:
(1) The subdivision shall meet all city standards
for new suburban subdivisions; provided, where city
standards are not applicable, county standards shall
apply.
(2) In a subdivision that does not have either a
public sanitary sewer system or a community sewerage
system, all septic tanks shall conform to the provisions
of Act 402 of 1977 and all rules and regulations promulgated
thereunder.
(3) All required improvements shall be in good working
order as determined after a complete inspection and report
by city staff members.
(4) All property to be annexed shall be contiguous
to and adjoining the existing city limits.
