A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND EXPRESSING THE APPRECIATION
OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO CHARLES McWHORTER FOR HIS SERVICE
IN AND CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE FAYETTEVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, Charles McWhorter will be retiring from the Fayette-
ville Fire Department on April 10, 1977 after almost 25 years of
service; and
WHEREAS, for the past 10 years, Charles McWhorter has served
as Fire Chief of the Fayetteville Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, Charles McWhorter has been an exemplary member of
the Fayetteville Fire Department for the entire 24 years he has
served in the department; and
WHEREAS, while as Fire Chief of the Fayetteville Fire Depart-
ment, Charles McWhorter has provided outstanding leadership and
has been instrumental in the preparation and obtaining approval
of a fire protection plan for the City of Fayetteville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:

That the Board of Directors hereby commends Charles McWhorter
for his 24 years of exemplary service in the Fayetteville Fire De-
partment.
Be it further resolved by the Board of Directors of the City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas that the Board of Directors hereby com-
mends Charles McWhorter for the outstanding leadership he has pro-
vided as Fire Chief of the Fayetteville Fire Department, and hereby
expresses its sincere appreciation to Charles McWhorter for the
contributions he has made to the Fayetteville Fire Department, both
as a member of the Department and as Fire Chief; the Board of
Directors expresses its special appreciation to Charles McWhorter
for his assistance in preparing and obtaining the approval of a
fire protection plan for the City of Fayetteville.
