BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTE- VILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to make application to the State Department of Planning, Community Services Division, for a local planning and management assistance study grant in the amount of $9,000 of which $6,000 will be available from state funds. Section 2. That- the Board of Directors hereby expresses its support of and committment to the successful completion of a local planning and management assistance study project. Objectives and Scope The Agency and Consultant agree that the objectives and scope of this agreement are as described herein or by attachments, if so noted. See Attachment (Attachments Nos. Term 1 The term of this agreement will begin on the 21st Of April (Day) (Month) 1975 , and shall extend for a period of approximately 70 (Year) • days and/or as agreed to separately in writing by both parties. The initial term of a contract shall not extend beyond June 30th of the year in which a biennium period ends. However, when it is necessary for a contract to extend beyond a biennium period, it is . subject to the appropriation procedure of the Legislature and if the Legislature should disapprove the appropriation request, then the contract is terminated at the end of the biennial period. These contracts are subject to all of the provisions of the General Accounting and Budgetary Procedures Law ,(Act 876 of 1973) . Other (Specify) Intergovernmental Personnel Grant For work to be accomplished under this agreement, the Consultant agrees to provide the personnel as listed below (or named on attachment hereto) at the rates scheduled for each level of consult- ing personnel. The Consultant shall be paid no more than $1,000 to provide the services set forth in the Objectives and Scope. Third copy for Agency. • • • • Attachment 111 SCOPE OF SERVICES The Consultant shall do, perform, and carry out in a satisfactory manner, as determined by the Agency, the following services: Assist the City of Mountainburg by Preparing Legal Descrip- tions of Land to be Annexed by the City. 1) Under the direction of the Mayor, determine which parcels of land are to be included in the area -of the proposed annexation. 2) Undertake the necessary field work to prepare accurate legal description of the land to be annexed (the proposed new city limits). 3) Work with the Mayor and designated attorney to prepare a legal annexation ordinance for approval or rejection by proper authorities under law. 1'1
