WHEREAS, the Fayetteville Housing Authority owns and exercises exclusive
jurisdiction over the Willow Heights Public Housing Site; and
WHEREAS, the Willow Heights Public Housing Site has been allowed,
through neglect or improper maintenance, to deteriorate into an
embarrasing, disreputable condition; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Board of Directors have received numerous
complaints about the condition of the housing site premises from
citizens who erroneously believe that this tract is owned or operated
by the City of Fayetteville;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE:
Section 1. That the Fayetteville Housing Authority is asked to
take immediate steps to correct the unsightly and unsanitary
conditions existing at the Willow Heights Public Housing Site; and
Section 2. That a concerted effort on the part of Housing Authority
management and staff be undertaken to ensure that the Willow Heights
site be maintained properly and in a manner that will make the area
one of which all Fayetteville residents can be proud.
