A RESOLUTION URGING THE ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT
TO PROCEED WITH CONSTRUCTION OF AN. OVERPASS AT THE INTERSECTION
OF ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY NUMBER 71 AND ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY
16 WEST IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROPOSAL PRESENTED TO THE BOARD
OF DIRECTORS ON APRIL 1, 1975.
WHEREAS, a proposal for the construction of an overpass at
the intersection of Arkansas State Highway Number 71 and Arkansas
State Highway Number 16 West in the City of Fayetteville was
presented to the Board of Directors on April 1, 1975, by repre-
sentatives of the Arkansas State Highway Department; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing will be held on said proposal by
the Arkansas State Highway Department on May 20,. 1975; and
WHEREAS, members of the Fayetteville Board of Directors
will be unable to attend said public hearing because of the
regular scheduled meeting of said Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the proposed overpass is
desparately needed for the safety of the citizens of Fayetteville,
Arkansas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the Board of Directors hereby strongly urges the Arkansas
State Highway Department to construct an overpass at the inter-
section of Arkansas State Highway Number 71 and Arkansas State
Highway Number 16 West in the City of Fayetteville, in accordance
with the proposal presented to the Board of Directors on April 1,
1975, by representatives of said department.
