A RESOLUTION FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON
A PETITION TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF COMPANY STREET LYING
BETWEEN READ AVENUE AND VINSON AVENUE
WHEREAS, William Weston Rodgers, Thomas A. Lyles, John E.
Mahaffey, Leta J. Mahaffey, William R. Rodgers, and Olga W. Rodgers,
desire to secure the vacation and abandonment of a portion of
Company Street lying between Read Avenue and Vinson Avenue described
as follows:
A forty (40) foot street lying adjacent to and
along the South side of Lots One (1), Two (2),
and Three (3) in Block Seven (7), Mt. View
Addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
and lying adjacent to and North of Lots Ten (10),
Eleven (11), Twelve (12) and Thirteen (13),
Block Eight (8), Mt. View Addition to the City of
Fayetteville, Arkansas, as per plat of said
Addition on file in the Office of the Circuit Clerk
and Ex -Officio Recorder of Washington County,
Arkansas, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot One (1),
Block Seven (7) at the intersection of Read Avenue
and Company Street and thence running West two
hundred and fifty (250) feet to the Southwest corner
of Lot Three (3), Block Seven (7), at the inter-
section of Vinson Avenue and Company Street, thence
South forty (40) feet to the Northwest corner of
Lot Ten (10), Block Eight (8) at said intersection,
thence East two hundred and fifty (250) feet to the
Northeast corner of Lot Thirteen (13), Block Eight
(8) at the intersection of Roach Avenue and Company
Street, thence North forty (40) feet to the point of
beginning all within Mt. View Addition to the City of
Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas.
and,
WHEREAS, the petition of said persons was duly filed with the
City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, on the 12th day of
February, 1975, and it appears that this is the next regular
meeting of the Board of Directors of said City of Fayetteville
following the filing of said petition.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
1. That the 4th day of March, 1975, at 7:30 p.m., in
the Board Room of the City Administration Building, be and the
same is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing said petition.
2. That the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
be, and she is hereby directedzto give notice of such hearing to all
interested parties by publication thereof once a week for two (2)
consecutive weeks in the Northwest Arkansas Times, a newspaper
published in Washington County, Arkansas, and having a general
circulation in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

3. That said petition be and the same is hereby referred to
the Planning Commission of the City of Fayetteville for review
and recommendation on or before the date set for hearing thereon.
