A RESOLUTION FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON
A PETITION TO VACATE AND ABANDON TWO ALLEYS IN BLOCK ONE OF J.H.
MCILROY'S UNIVERSITY SUBDIVISION.
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas
desires to secure the vacation and abandonment of two alleys in
the City of Fayetteville which are described as follows:
(1) Beginning on the East line of Ozark Avenue
at the Southwest corner of Lot 31, Block 1,
J.H. Mcllroy's University Subdivision of
a part of the Southwest One Fourth of the
Northwest One Fourth of Section 16, in Township
16 North, of Range 30 West, in the City of
Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas, as
shown by the plat of said subdivision filed
April 1, 1927, and recorded in the Office of
the Circuit Clerk and Ex -Officio Recorderkin
and for said County, and running thence East one
hundred and seventy-six (176) feet to an inter-
section with an alley which runs North to South;
thence South fourteen (14) feet; thence West one
hundred and seventy -fix (176) feet; thence North
fourteen (14) feet to the point of beginning;
(2) Also, beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot
31, Block 1, J. H. Mcllroy's University Sub-
division of a part of the Southwest One Fourth
of the Northeast One Fourth of Section 16, in
Township 16 North, of Range 30 West, in the City
of Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas, as
shown by the plat of said Subdivision filed April
1, 1927, and recorded in the Office of the Circuit
Clerk and Ex -Officio Recorder in and for said
County, and running thence North four hundred and
fourteen (414) feet to the point on the South
line of Lot 8, Block 1, in said Subdivision; thence
East fourteen (14) feet; thence South four hundred
and fourteen (414) feet to a point which is the
Southwest corner of Lot 52, Block 1, in said
Subdivision; thence West fourteen (14) feet
to the point of beginning;
and,
WHEREAS, the Petition of said Board of Trustees was duly filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, on the
31st day of January, 1975.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
1. That the 4th day of March, 1975, at 7:30 p.m., in the
Board Room of the City Administration Building, be and the same is
hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing said petition.
2. That the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
be, and she is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing to all
interested parties by publication thereon once a week for two (2)
consecutive weeks in the Northwest Arkansas Times, a newspaper published
in Washington County, Arkansas, and having a general circulation
in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
