A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE POSITION OF THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS REGARDING THE PROPOSED LARGE=SCALE DEVELOPMENT OF
WAL-MART PROPERTIES, INCORPORATED, ON FARMINGTON ROAD,
WHEREAS, Wal-Mart Properties, Inc.,, has submitted a
large-scale development plan for property located South
of Farmington Road; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Fayetteville,
has recommended approvalJ• of the proposed plan subject to4,certain
conditions which are unacceptable to Wal-Mart Properties,
Inc.; and
WHEREAS, in an effort

to express its position on
alternative proposals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the Board of Directors hereby finds the following
proposals of Wal-Mart Properties, Inc., acceptable fort,
obtaining approval of its large-scale development plan,!`
1) Wal-Mart Properties, Inc., and the present property
owner join in a street deed conveying five feet of equal and
uniform width along the North side of the property in question
to the City;
2) Wal-Mart Properties, Inc..grarits__a f fty..foot^
roadway and utility easement across the eastern portion
of the property in question to permit the extension of Sang
Avenue to Arkansas Highway No. 62;
3) That the present property owner grant a temporary
easement co -existent with the easement described above
for a term of months ending February 1, 1975, and executes
a permanent easement co -existent with the easement described
above tor a partial release of vendor's lien) upon payment
by Wal-Mart of the contract installment due January 1, 1975;
and
to arrive at a compromise, Wal-
