RESOLUTION NO. 57'74
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the Board of Directors hereby proposes
that the Planning Commission consider an amendment to Appendix
A, Article 8, Section 9 (1) of the Fayetteville Code of Ordinances
to clarify the use of off-site locations to meet off-street
parking requirements. A copy of said proposed amendment, marked
Exhibit "A", is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
Section 2. That the Planning Admini§trator be, and she
hereby is, authorized and directed to publish a notice of public
hearing to be held by the Planning Commission on the proposed
amendment, as required by Appendix A, Article 12, Section 1 (C)
of the Fayetteville Code of Ordinances.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING APPENDIX A, ARTICLE 8, SECTION 9 (1)
OF THE FAYETTEVILLE CODE OF ORDINANCES;: TO CLARIFY OFF STREET
PARKING REQUIREMENTS. AND FOR,OTHER PURPOSES, i
BE 1T ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTOR -OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:

Section 1. That Appendiic A, Article S, Section 9 C1) of
the Fayetteville Code Of Ordinances is hereby amended to read
as follows:
(1) Off-site locations: For any new use, structure,
or building, reonired off-street parking which, because
of the size or the location of the parcel, cannot be
provided on the same -lot with the Principal use,maybe
provided on other property owned or leased by the owner
or lessorof the lot on which the principal use is located,
if said property is notmore than 300 feet from said lot,
subject to the Approval of the Planning Commission,
Section 2. That all ordinances and resolutions; or parts,
thereof, in conflict herewith be,and hereby are, repealed.
Section 3. The Board of Directors hereby determines that
there is a shortage Of off-street parking facilities within the
City, and that the condition's under which the Planning commisSion
may approve the use of off-site. Parking locations needs to be
clarified -to insure that :adequate Off-street parking will be
provided.in the, future, Therefore,this ordinance, being necesAary
for the protection of the public health, safety, and welfare shall
be effective from and after its passage.
