BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That in order to eliminate discrimination in public
housing, employment and the supplying of contractrual services and
supplies it shall be the policy of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas:
A. All public housing which is owned or operated by the City
of Fayetteville and is under the direct supervision of its
Board of Directors shall be made available to applicants
without regard to color, sex, religion, or national origin.
B. Employment by the City of Fayetteville shall be based solely
upon merit, and shall be offered to qualified applicants
without regard to color, sex, religion, or national origin.
C. Preferential treatment shall be given to manufacturers or
suppliers of goods or contractual services who wish to do
business with the City of Fayetteville and who are able to
execute a statement to the effect that their personnel
practices are in compliance with the applicable sections
of Titles VI and VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval
