WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, deems it desirable to enter into a street improvement
program as a part of the City's comprehensive street maintenance
and reconstruction program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the City Manager be and he hereby is authorized and
directed to cause studies to be made of the need for street improve-
ments; including grading, paving, curbing, guttering, drainage and
storm sewers, on Stone Street from Eastern Avenue to a point four
hundred eight and one half (408.5) feet West of Lewis Avenue, on
Lewis Avenue from Mitchell Street to Stone Street and on Mitchell
Street from Lewis Avenue to a point'four hundred eight and one half
(408,S) feet West of Lewis Avenue.,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Citv Manager be and hereby is
authorized to cause studies to be made of the approximate cost of
such improvements, means available for financingpthe same, the portion
thereof which the municipality is willing and able to pay, taking
into account any funds available to the city for street improvements,
and the approximate assessments which would be made against each lot
of parcel of property in the defined area to reimburse the city for
the costs of the improvements to be borne by the property owners in
the area.
