Whereas, the duly qualified and acting City Attorney of
the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, has been subpoenaed to
testify in the pending causes between the City of Fayetteville
and Joseph William Segers, Jr., and
Whereas, the City Attorney has moved to quash said subpoena,
and
Whereas, the"Court has'not'ruled upon said motion at this
time, and
Whereas, in the event said subpoena is not quashed the City
Attorney may be prohibited by the Canons of Legal Ethics from
appearing in said causes en -,behalf of the City of Fayetteville,
and
1972.
Whereas, the causes are presently set for trial on June 12,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:

Section 1.i That in the event said subpoena is not quashed
the City Attorney be and he hereby is authorized and directed
to employ legal counsel to represent the City of Fayetteville
in the pending causes.
Section 2. That said counsel shall be compensated by the
City of Fayetteville at the rate contained in the Washington
County Bar Association Schedule of Minimum Fees.
