WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, a municipal corporation, did cause studies to be made
of the needs for sewer improvements in the area of Denver and
Haddon Streets in the City of Fayetteville, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the above-described studies the
Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, has
received from the City Manager certain findings and determinations,
which findings and determinations are as follows, to -wit:
REPORT ON SEWER IMPROVEMENTS -IN THE -AREA
OF DENVER AND HADDON STREETS
1. In accordance with Resolution No. 43-7ipassed and
approved by the Board of Directors on 3. Entl,the City
Manager was authorized to perform studies for he 'sewer improve-
ments in the area of Denver and Haddon Streets.
These instructions required a report to be made to the
Board of Directors containing the following listed data:
A. Determination of necessary improvements.
B. Determination of the approximate cost of said
improvements.
C. The means available for financing same.
0. The portion thereof which the municipality is
• willing and able to pay.
E. The approximate assessment which would be made
against each lot or parcel of property.
2. The proposed sewer improvement project should include:
A. Installation of 880 feet of vitrified clay pipe on
Denver Street with one 6' manhole and two drop manholes.
B. Installation of 135U feet of vitrified clay pipe on
Haddon Street with two 6' manholes and two drop
manholes.
C. Installation of 600 feet of vitrified clay pipe on
Highway 71 South with two 6' manholes.
D. Installation of 230 feet of vitrified clay pipe on
Peach Street with one 6' manhole.

.file in -the office of the City Engineer),
3. The total estimated project cost for sewer' construc-
tion inthe1iti ofoinvetand Haddon Streets is 312,540.44.
4. It is proposed that the City would pay 30 of the project
cost with an asseisment of $12,540,44 being levied against the
real property benefited by the proposed improvements to reimburse
the City for a portion of_the cost of the improvements., ,
5. It is-proposeethat-the property owne4) be given a
choice of paying. the assessments levied in,a lump,aum payable
within thirty 130) -days after the completiOn of the proposed
improvements, or in .ten (10) equal annual •installments bearing
interest at-thnate-of ten -per cent per annum. If the property
owner(s) choose(i)the initallment method of payment, the first
installment shall be collected on or before October 1, 1970.
Second and subsequent installments shall be paid at the rtime
provided by laurfoi paying the final installment of general
taxes on the property.

NOW, :THEREFORE, SUIT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of
the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, that said municipality indi-
cates the desire to undertake the above described improvements
provided the owners ofia majority in value of the real estate to
be atsessed4agree'to repay said municipaliti the portion of the
cost described above through uniform assessed benefits upon each
lot or parcel of property described above.
