WHEREAS, the Water and Sewer -Department and related funds operate on
a fiscal year beginning August 1 and action should be taken by the Board
of Directors prior,to August 1, 1970 to provide for the continuing financ-
ing of the department, and
WHEREAS, the Water and Sewer Revenues for the fiscal year beginning
August 1, 1970 will not be determined until after the City's Water and
Sewer Rate Study is completed and new water and sewer rates established,
and
WHEREAS, a Water and Sewer Budget cannot be established without an
accurate prediction of such revenues,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas that expenditures from Water and Sewer Funds
for the operation of the Water and Sewer Department after July 31, 1970
in the amounts necessary to sustain said department at its present level
of operation and to accomplish such improvements or changes as the Board
of Directors may authorize or direct re hereby authorized.
