WHEREAS, municipal government in Fayetteville and State government
in Arkansas can be improved through the training and professional develop-
ment of those who are or will be in the future employed in local and State
governemnt, and
WHEREAS, graduate students in the Master of Public Administration
program of the University of Arkansas can contribute valuable services
to Fayetteville municipal government,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that (1) the City shall sponsor one Master
of Public Administration graduate fellowship in the amount of $2,400.00
and (2) the MPA program shall provide the City with the services of one or
more graduate students 20 hours per week during the nine month 1970-71
academic year, and 40 hours per week during June, July and August of 1971.
