A RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT A VACANCY WILL EXIST IN THE OFFICE OF
MUNICIPAL JUDGE OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ON JANUARY 1, 1970,
AND REQUESTING THE GOVERNOR OF ARKANSAS TO APPOINT A SUCCESSOR TO
THAT POSITION.
WHEREAS, the Honorable V. James Ptak, Municipal Judge of the
City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, has submitted his resignation from
such office to the Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville,
effective January 1, 1970, and
WHEREAS, effective January 1, 1970, there will exist a va-
cancy in the Office of Municipal Judge of the City of Fayetteville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE:
(1) That the Board of Directors accepts the resignation of the
Honorable V. James Ptak, effective January 1, 1970.
(2) That inasmuch as such resignation creates a vacancy in
such Office, that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the
Honorable Winthrop Rockefeller, Governor of Arkansas, as a request
that he fill said vacancy by appointment in accordance with the
Laws of the State of Arkansas.
