RESOLUTION NO. -69

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE PLANNING
COMMISSION TO STUDY THE FEASIBILITY OF ESTABLISHING AN F-1,
FRATERNITY AND SORORITY DISTRICT; AND TO STUDY A PROPOSED
ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SUCH A DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the members of the Board of Directors have been
presented an ordinance which would establish an F-1 FRATERNITY
AND SORORITY DISTRICT, and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1239 requires that such proposals
be referred by resolution to the Planning Commission for study
and recommendations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors
of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas:
Section 1: The Planning Commission is hereby authorized
and directed to study the feasibility of establishing an F-1
Fraternity and Sorority District.
Section 2: The Planning Commission is hereby authorized
and directed to hold public hearings as provided in Ordinance
No. 1239, and to report its recommendations as soon as possible.
Section 3: The Planning Commission is hereby authorized
and directed to study the proposed Ordinance establishing an
F-1 Fraternity and Sorority District which was presented to
the Board of Directors.
