WHEREAS, The Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968
has been signed into law to assist State and local Governments in reducing the
incidence of crime; to increase the effectiveness, fairness, and coordination of
law enforcement, and crime Justice systems at all levels of Government.'
. • WHEREAS, The Act encourages the State of Arkansas and units of
general local Government to participate in comprehensive law enforcement •
planning, based on the evaluations of State and local problems of law
enforcement.
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the undersigned
desires that the Arkansas Commission on Crime and Law Enforcement provide
such local planning services and technical assistance within the communities
of my jurisdiction, (City OfFayetteville
Cuuni�Crf ) utilizing
such planning funds necessary and as made available under the provisions of
the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, for the participation
in state-wide comprehensive planning.
