HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-69 RESOLUTIONRESOLUTION 10-69 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ACCEPTING AN OFFER OF A GRANT OF $484,800 FROM THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION AND THE OZARKS REGIONAL COMMISSION TO BE USED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN INDUSTRIAL PARK IN THE CITY OF FAYETTEVITXN, ARKANSAS. WHEREAS, The City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, has previously applied for Federal assistance to aid in the development of an industrial park, including access roads, railspur, grading, and related drainage, sewer, and waterworks, and WHEREAS, by letter from Ross D. Davis, Assistant Secretary of Commerce, Washington, D. C., dated February 13, 1969, the City of Fayetteville has received an offer of a grant of $484,800 for application toward said project, and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville has given its due consideration to the terms of said offer of grant and has found it is in the best interest of the City of Fayetteville to execute same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the offer of a grant of $484,800 from the Economic Development Administration and the Ozark Regional Commission, to be used for the development of an Industrial Park in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, is approved and accepted in all respects. Section 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an acceptance of said offer of grant, and the City Clerk is authorized to return the executed instrument to the Economic Development Administration.
