A RESOLUTION RATIFYING A CHANGE IN ARTICLE 3 OF THE AGREE
MENT FOR JOINT PLANNING COOPERATION OF THE NORTHWEST ARKANSAS
REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION TO CONFORM WITH ACT 29 OF 1967
WHEREAS, the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas amended Section 19-
2822 to delete the requirement that a majority of members of metropolitan
or regional planning commissions shall hold no other public office except
appointive membership on city .or other planning commission or board; and

WHEREAS, the Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission on April 27,
1967; resolved to conform to the provisions of Act 26 of 1955 as amended
by Act 29 of 1967; and
WHEREAS, Article 10 of the Articles of Agreement for Joint Planning Coopera-
tion requires that each constituent member ratify by resolution any amend-
ments to said Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE City OF._Fayetteville •
That the amendment to the Articles of Agreement by deleting
that portion of Article 3 which restricts the membership of
elected officials to the minority is hereby ratified.
