A RESOLUTION FIXING THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR CATALOGING AND CLASSIFYING
RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE FISCAL POLICIES OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS, AS PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, the will and purpose of the City Council, as stated in Ordinance
Number 1382, passed and approved January 13, 1964, can best be served by the
orderly presentation of rules and regulations setting forth the basic fiscal policies
of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and
WHEREAS, the primary purposes of the rules and regulations= are to assign
definite responsibilities and to establish clear lines of authority, and
WHEREAS, the rules and regulations passed and approved by the City Council
should be maintained in a systematic and readily accessible manner, and

WHEREAS, Ordinance Number 1382, passed and approved January 13, 1.964,
provides for the adoption of rules and regulations governing all phases of fiscal
control;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. It shall be the duty and responsibility of the City Controller to
systematically number and catalogue all rules and regulations governing the fiscal
policies of the City of Fayetteville, as passed and approved by the City Council..
SECTION 2. The rules and regulations shall be classified as to, but not
limited to, the following classifications:
1. General rules and regulations
2. Establishment of funds
3. Balance Sheet accounts
4. Revenues
5. Expenditures
6. Financial statements
7. Payroll procedures
8. Purchasing procedures
9. Budgeting
