RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and
they are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contract with the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company
for the calendar year 1960 at the same franchise tax rate
as provided in the 1959 contract, except that the contract
for the year 1960 shall contain a provision whereby the
franchise tax paid by Southwestern Bell Telephone Com-
pany to the City of Fayetteville shall be increased pro-
portionately and simultaniously with the effective date of
any increase in tax which might be approved by the Ark-
ansas Public Service Commission.
Passed and Approved this 7th day of December, 1959.
