WHEREAS, the City of Fayetteville, lrkaneas, on the 23rd day of Augur€,
1957, entered into one certain lease agreement with the thtited States of America
wherein and Whereby the City leased thef ol'lowing described real estate to the
United States of America for a period of ninety- nine (99) years, to'mits

A part of the Northeast Quarter (NE<) of the Northeast Quarter (NB) if

Section Twenty-one (21), Township Sixteen (16) North of Range Thirty (30)
West of the Fifth (5th P.It.) Principal Ueridian, more particularly de&crtbod
'as follows, to -wit: eginning at a point 376.6 feet South of the Northwest
corner of the NE* of the NEI of said Section 21, and running thence South
0 degrees 6 minutes West 200 .feet; thence East 400 feet; thence North 200
feet; thence 399.8 feet to the place of beginning, containing 1,83 acres,
more or less, and

p3. TERIM. ThieleBen shall be for the period ofninety-mine (99) years
beginning let Septedber, 1957, and ending 30th June, 2056, and Bey, at
the option of the Government, be renewed from year to year at the same
rental and otherwise upon the terns and conditioniterein specified,
provided notice be g iven in writing to the Lessor at least 30 days
before this tease or anyrenewal thereof would otherwise expire but no
rental shall extend the period of occupancy beyond 30th June, 2056,e and
WHEREAS, the United States of America desires that said above.:described
lease be mended to read as follows, tewit:
13. Timed. This lease shall be for the period of ninety-nine (99) year's
beginning 1 March, 1958, and ending 1 March, 2057, and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that the above described lease agreement be
amended, reaffirmed, readopted aid reexecuted by the present City Officials, J.
Austin Parish, Mayor, and George J. Davie, City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has approved said lease agreement dated the 23rd
day of August, 1957, and the amended lease agreement dated the 24th day of
February, 1958.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, that J. Austin Pariah, Mayor and George J. Davis, City Clerk, be and they
are hereby authorised to execute an ascended .lease agreement dated February 24,
1958, by end between the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, as Lessors end United
States of America, as Lessee, wherein and whereby said above described real estate
is leased to the United States of America for a. term of ninety-nine (99) years
beginning')torah 1, 1958, and ending ¥arch l., 2057, for an annual reit of One Do11are
(e1.00).
