AND, WHEREAS, the Council has examined said Report
and finds that the same should be approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas:
Section 1. That the said report of the Mayor be and
it is hereby approved, and he is hereby authorized to enter
into a contract with the syndicate composed of Hill, Crawford
& Lanford, Inc., Southern Securities Company, Cherry -Villareal
& Company, and Mallory Williams & Company for the sale of the
said airport bonds for the price and on the conditions set
out in said report.
Section 2. It is hereby ascertained and declared that
because of the fact that there are not adequate facilities for
the landing of modern large and fast flying airplanes needed

in these times of war for"the protection of the citizens of

Fayetteville, it is necessary for the preservation of public
yespeace, health and safety that this ardtmanme
shall become ef-
fective without delay, an emergency is declared, and this

and after its passage.
