RESOLUTION
TO LEVY THE TAXES FOR THE YAER 1927UPON THE
REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CORP-
ORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE:
That the rate of Taxes for CITY GENERAL purposes for
the year 1927 be, and the same is hereby declared to be FIVE MILLS
On the dollar of assessed valuation of all real and personal property
within the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, as
shpwn by the assessment books for State and County purposes, and that
the same is hereby levied; and the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed -to to certify this levy to the County Clerk
of Washington County, Arkansas,to the end that the same may be placed
on the Tax books and collected with State and County Taxes.
SECTION TWO:
That the rate of Taxes for FIRE DEPARTMENT purposes for the
year 1927 be, and the same is her&by declared to be ONE and lertilagIWASS
MILLS on the Dollar of Assessed Valuation of all real and personal pro-
pertywithin the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
as shown by the Assessment Books for State and County Purposes, and
that the same is hereby levied; and the Mayor and the City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to certify this levy to the County Clerk
of Washington County, Arkansas, to the end that the same may be placed
on the Tax Books and collected with State and County Taxes.
SECTION THREE:
That the rate of Taxes for CITY HOSPITAL purposes, for
the year 1927 be, and the same is hereby declared to be
ONE MILL on the Dollar of Assessed Valuation of all real and personal
property within the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville, Ark-
ansas, as shown by the Assessment Books for State and County purposes,
and that the same is hereby levied; and that the Mayor and the City
Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to certify this levy to the
County Clerk of Washington County, Arkansas, to the end that the same
may be placed on the Tax Books and collected with State and County
Taxes. ,
SECTION FOUR:
That the rate of Taxes for the purpose of paying the
FUNDING BONDS of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, issued under the
authority of Ordinance number589,passed and approved December 21, 1925,
and in conformity with the provisions of Amendment Number Eleven (11)
to the Constitution of the State of Arkansas, as the same may mature,
for the year 1927 be, and the same is hereby declared to be TWO and
ONE-HALF MILLS on the Dollar of Assessed Valuation of all the real and
personal property within the corporate limits of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, as shown by the Assessment Books for State and Ciunty purposes
and that the same.is hereby levied;and the Mayor and the City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to certify this levy to the County
Clerk of Washington County, Arkansas, to the end that the same may be
placed on the Tax Books and collected with State and County Taxes.
SECTION FIVE:
Thatthis resolution shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval, and all resolutions in con-
flict herewith be, and the same are hereby repealed.
