Whereas, the rates for Fire Insurance in Northwest Arkansas are
unreasonably high; and Whereas, the City of Fayetteville has spent a
large amount of money to provide fire protection, not only in the
purchase of fire apparatus and the maintenance of Fire Department,
but in the construction of additional main and hydrants, the purchase
of costly pumping machinery and the constant improvement and
enlargement of the City Water Plant, and
Passed and Approved - June 7, 1926
