HomeMy WebLinkAbout48-25 RESOLUTION4 • -•••••• RESOLUTION. 1440-19-2.r WHEREAS, on the 14th day of September, 1925, a petition signed by.More than ten owners of real property was presented to the Coun- cil, requesting that steps be taken to form a Water Imptovement Dis- trict, to embrace the property described and therein set forth; WHEREAS, on the IA:S day of 1925, an Ordinance NPitbered-62.--WasifpaledcforMin&safeDstrict—eflet—T57tirint-the= above named Petition; WHEREAS, on the pct.— ay of October, 1925, a petition was pre- sented to the said Council, signed by persons claiming to represent a majority in assessed valuation of till real property located within the District, as set forth in said Petition and Ordinance aforesaid; WHEREAS, the Council did on the 30th day of November, 1925, order and direct the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, to give notice by publicatithn, once a week for two weeks, advising all persons, that on the 21st day of December, 1925, the Council would. take that last named Petition under consideration, and woald at that . ---[-ttimrdetermine---Whether -or not -the same Wil 4 assessed valuation of all real property Within the said District; WHEREAS, said notice was so published by said Clerk in accord- ance with law; and, WHEREAS, said time .for said hearing has arrived, and said hearing has been duly and. properly had: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE ciTy OF FAIETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS; SECTION ONE: That, after careful consideration, the City Council of the City of Fayetteville Arkansas, finds that there is a total assessed valuation of 04(06600 1 of real property within -sal&Districtacaordipg.-totaalastrassessment_on:file.aLin the Office of the County Clerk of Washington County, Arkansas, and that persons signing said petition own property within said District of the efgz assessed valuation of )111kriS according to said assessment. SECTION TWO: That it is the finding of the said City Council of said City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, that the majority in assessed valuation of -owners of real property within Water Improvement District Number Two of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, have signed. said Aor Petition; and the said District is hereby formed by said City Council of said City of Fayetteville, Arkansas..
